President Richard Greenhill called the Regular Board Meeting of the Woodrow-Osceola Water Supply Corporation to order at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2009. All Directors were present with the exception of Jane Morgan and Tim Rochelle. Also, employee Malcolm Tucker was present.

 

Item 2: Approve Minutes

Johnnie Bankston read the minutes from the September 8, 2009, Regular Board Meeting. Thomas Bills made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Sandra Chilcutt seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 3: Directors Source and Application of Funds

Malcolm Tucker presented the Source and Application of Funds. Thomas Bills made a motion to accept the Source and Application of Funds as presented. Linda Hasselstrom seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 4: Woodrow Well

Malcolm Tucker stated Burney Pump had been unable to pull the pump at Woodrow due to the rain. He said, he would call Burney to make the arrangements to pull the pump when weather permits.

 

Item 5: FM 934 Leak Under the Creek

Malcolm Tucker submitted 3 sealed bids to President Richard Greenhill to bore the creek: Streamline Inc, 4” bore-$6,120.00, Hoot Johnson Construction, 4” bore and lay 300’ of C900 pipe-$12,000.00 and JT Construction, 4” bore and lay 282’ of C900 pipe-$11,900.00. The Board discussed the Streamline Inc. bid and asked Malcolm to get clarification on the bid, due to the bid being half the cost of the other two bids. Thomas Bills made a motion to table the item until the November meeting. Johnnie Bankston seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 6: Public Comment

None

 

Item 7: Membership Changes

Thomas Bills made a motion to accept no new membership, no transfers, no sellbacks and no revokes. Linda Hasselstrom seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 8: Directors and Manager Comment

Malcolm Tucker stated the project on FM 1414 was not completed due to the rain, but the water samples or completed and the tie in is all that is lacking for completion. Also, the remaining easements for Well #6 or being handled by the attorney.

Item 10: Adjourn

Sandra Chilcutt made a motion to adjourn at 7:45 p.m. Linda Hasselstrom seconded. Vote was unanimous.
