President Bills called the Regular Board Meeting of the Woodrow-Osceola Water Corporation to order at 6:30 P.M., March 11, 2014. All Directors were present with the exception of Linda Hasselstrom and Tim Rochelle. Also, Manager, Malcolm Tucker was present.

 

Item 2: Approve Minutes

Johnnie Bankston read the minutes from the February18, 2014 Regular Board Meeting. Sandra Chilcutt made a motion to accept the minutes as read with one correction. Jane Morgan seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 3: Directors Source and Application of Funds

Malcolm Tucker presented the Source and Application of Funds. Sandra Chilcutt made a motion to accept the Source and Application of Funds as presented. Charles Jones seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 4: Membership Changes

Sandra Chilcutt made a motion to accept 1 New Membership, 6 Transfers 1 Sellback and 6 Revokes-Pharris-Bigham #248, 253, 254 and 435, Charles Scarborough #700 and Phyllis Faught #521. Ray Mershawn seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 5: Offer from Southwest Petroleum

President Bills informed the Board, an offer was made from Southwest Petroleum to purchase the Corporation mineral rights at Freeman Well. Johnnie Bankston made a motion to decline the offer to sell the mineral rights. John Milburn seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 6: Texas Rural Water PAC

No action was taken, due to the the Water Corporation exemption from joining. The only person that could join would be Manager, Malcolm Tucker.

Item 8: Directors and Manager Comments

John Milburn asked, if we had any water connections other than our own. Malcolm said, we do not. Johnnie Bankston stated, the next meeting will be the Annual Meeting, April 05, 2014. Malcolm said, the water loss issue last month was resolved, stating it was scada related. He continued, by saying the computers will be updated soon, due to the Windows program used in the office becoming obsolete and a new server installed at a cost of about $6,000.00. Also, there were 2 cracks detected in the main stem of the fill pipe at the Freeman Elevated Tower, during the routine yearly inspection and the repair will be done courtesy of Phoenix Tank. The top fill for the tower will be done by A+ Welding and the ideal situation is they both will be done at the same time, due to the tank being drained

Jane Morgan made a motion to adjourn at 7:05 P.M. John Milburn seconded. Vote was unanimous.
