The Special Board Meeting of the Woodrow-Osceola Water Supply Corporation was called t6 order at 6:45 PM by President Richard Greenhill. All Directors were present with the exception ofBill Coleman, John Milburn and Jane Morgan. General Manager, Dave Tomlinson attended along with two members.

 

Dave Tomlinson stated Employee medical Insurance with Aetna would be increasing from $232.00 to $517.00 per employee. He continued by saying Blue Cross Blue Shield offered a premium of$251.54 per employee and asked the Board to pay at 100%. Johnnie Bankston stated per Special Board Meeting, April 29, 2003, the Board voted to pay full time employees insurance benefits at 100% and be capped at $254.00 per employee.

 

Dave moved to the next item – Employment. He said he would like to raise hourly wages per employee to be competitive with other water coop’s. He felt we could loose employees due to lower hourly wages. The Board discussed concerns with Dave and adjourned to Executive Session at 7:30 p.m.

 

The Board reconvened at 8:00 p.m. Sandra Chilcutt made a motion to increase employees’ hourly wages per the manager’s recommendation. Billie Lair, Malcolm Tucker and Chris Shumate by $1.00, Charlie Allmon by $0.75 and Robert Reyna by $1.50. Linda Hasselstrom seconded and vote was unanimous.

 

The Board adjurned at 8:10 p.m.
