Vice President, Thomas Bills called the Regular Board Meeting of the Woodrow-Osceola Water Supply Corporation to order, due to Richard Greenhill absence, at 6:30p.m., April 10, 2012. All Directors were present with the exception of Linda Hasselstrom, Richard Greenhill and John Milburn. Also, Manager, Malcolm Tucker was present.

 

Item 2: Approve Minutes

Johnnie Bankston read the minutes from the March 13, 2012 Regular Board Meeting. Ray Mershawn made a motion to accept the minutes as read. Charles Jones seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 3: Directors Source and Application of Funds

Malcolm Tucker presented the Source and Application of Funds. After discussion, Malcolm pointed out the difference in the electricity bills- Jawbone well had a $2,129 bill, while Well #6 had a bill of $762, due to the VFD Drive. WOW!! Sandra Chilcutt made a motion to accept the Source and Application of Funds as presented. Jane Morgan seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 4: Well #7-Woodrow Well

Malcolm stated, USDA had sent the info on Woodrow well to Temple.

 

Item 5: Membership Changes

Jane Morgan made a motion to accept 2 New Membership, 4 Transfers, No Sellbacks and 1 Revoke-#1254 Bryan &Carol Chamberlian. Charles Jones seconded. Vote was unanimous.

Item 7: Directors and Manager Comments

Ray Mershawn said we should verify the oversized windings for the starters on the wells with the VFD Drives. Sandra Chilcutt asked, why the water loss was 34.80%. Malcolm said, it was probably the filling and dumping and filling the elevated storage at Well #6. Jane Morgan asked if the Security Cameras were hooked up to the net. Malcolm said, no. Internet Doctors had been delayed for some reason. Johnnie Bankston asked, where the generator for Well #6 was? Malcolm said, at the back of Corporation on a trailer. Johnnie stated, she felt it should be permanently installed at the Well #6 site and not on a trailer. Also, she asked, if the copper cable had been taken to the scrape metal yard and was told no. She said to take the cable! Thomas Bills said, when we came on Fridays to sign checks, that he and Teena were parking in the front of the office and with the handicap parking space, parking was limited. He stated they should park in the rear and Malcolm said, it was no problem.

 

Item 8: Executive Session

Thomas Bills said we needed to go into executive session and told Malcolm he could go home. The Board adjourned to executive session at 7:30p.m. Upon reconvening at 8:25p.m. Ray Mershawn made a motion that a field employee obtaining a Class C license will receive a $1.00 hourly increase. Charles Jones seconded. Vote was unanimous.

 

Item 9: Adjourn

Jane Morgan made a motion to adjourn at 8:30p.m. Charles Jones seconded. Vote was unanimous.
